Our Commercial Executive Role

Our Commercial Executive reports into the Business Unit Controller within our Retail Business Unit. This is a broad role which has a balance of account management responsibility as well as a support function to the retail commercial team.

The account management would include growing our brand sales within an agreed portfolio of customers within Convenience, Specialist Retail and Gifting trade channels and maximise sales and margin opportunities, within these specified accounts / sectors.

The business support function would involve:

  • Commercial forecast tracking and review
  • Export stock management and interface with Export Manager
  • Slow moving stock control
  • Commercial administration support

This is an entry level role for someone with 1-2 years’ work experience (can be varied) who is keen to get into FMCG sales and join a highly successful team. They will work as part of the Retail team with the aim to deliver the budget for both sales and profit. They will also need to work cross functionally to ensure customer expectations are exceeded from portfolio management and execution, and a service perspective.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential

  • Have high attention to detail
  • Experience in sales and or marketing
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Good understanding of UK retail structure
  • Project Management
  • Demonstrates tenacity and detail in all aspects of work
  • Some driving is required for this position so you must have a full UK licence as well as transport

Desirable

  • Have a degree in a related subject
  • Food industry / FMCG experience

The Commercial Sales Executive is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, based at our Newbury site paying circa £22,500 - £25,000. The compensation package includes a competitive salary, discretionary bonus, life assurance, childcare vouchers, pension scheme, access to healthcare cash plan and 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing with years of service.
